Checking enema effectiveness
After administration an enema did you listen the expulsion and check the results? Did you ever had to repeat the enema?

My mom always checked the results after she gave me or my sister an enema. If she wasn't pleased, she would repeat the enema. That happened a fair amount.
I never gave my daughters enemas, but my wife did. She wasn't as fanatical about checking the results as my mom was, but she repeated enemas on occasion. I think she relied on "mom's intuition" to decide whether or not to give a second enema.

@sse4fun I'm surprised at the question - isn't it the norm? After every bowel movement, whether it was facilitated or not, the dooer or their "nurse" should examine the doohs. Btw in this household there have definitely been instances of more than one (even more than two) suppository-administrations in a day.

@SuziSatan02 Yes, I believe it is the "norm". It certainly was as I was growing up and also after getting an enema in the hospital. I suppose that some telltale odors or sounds could be a bit of confirmation, although it seemed that a 2nd enema was likely to occur anyway.

I do a 5 gallon enema quarterly.
Sometimes at a clinic that my girlfriend works at and sometimes at home.
One of my guy friends was a health Guru and became very wealthy selling health products on late night infomercials.
He also held annual 1 and 2 week long Health Clinics where people would come from all over and stay at his ranch.
One of his big things was Coffee Enemas. He did them daily.
Ironically, he ended up dying from it as it took out the good bacteria that the body needs.
Moral of the story is not to do them every day please.
