I have the BEST THERAPIST! Today she took me to the pharmacy to pick up my medications... Then; like she always does, she bought me a large mocha coffee, then she drove me down to the lake! It's our usual spot. During the summers we sit at a picnic table by the lake shore, as the birds fly by and the lake laps up to the beachy sand its very theraputic for the both of us!!! She's always been very positive with our conversations...Then I always had a nurse who also comes to my house... But now I have a new nurse cause my last nurse went on maternity leave with her second baby since she's been my nurse... So this will be my second time meeting with him! Usually at my kitchen table. He does the usual takes my blood pressure, checks my blood sugars, asks me how I'm doing....How I am reacting to my medications and such over all health... Plus I have a new Psychiatrist also whom I've only met once, and I think I've recently missed my latest appointment with him last month, but I've been okay, so I just have to re book it... So that's my team so far, and my GP doctor, who deals with my pacemaker, weight, and other health concerns for me and our whole family... I am super grateful for the support I have, even my own 21 year old daughter is looking out for me, with controlling smaller portions of snacks, and going for walks and trying to get me to eat healthier, or smaller portions of treats and going for walks with me and encouraging me to be healthier! Which I absolutely love her for!

No. I would like to but whenever I was at a point to call, I told myself that I didn't even do enough for myself before turning to someone else for help. If you already have an appointment, don't blow it. You got further than me.

Yes, some talk therapy and EMDR. I definitely benefitted. It was hard work and I thought it wasn't working at the time. X

Therapy is as good as you want it to be. Being honest is helpful. If you go and not be completely honest in telling your story you can’t expect much. I wish you the best.

I did 6 years of therapy and it saved and transformed my life for the better.

Yup. Was in therapy for about a year and it enabled me to work on my stuff.
