How much notice to give if you're stopping therapy?

I think one year I gave a week notice, and another time it was just a few days. I've never read any amount of time to give when you are stopping your sessions...

Minimum 3 days to cancel a single appointment. Therefore I’d think three weeks is a reasonable amount of time to give notice of stopping therapy completely they will ask if you are going to pursue treatment elsewhere so just something to consider. Are you moving? If you are switching therepist; record transfer and consult could require 3 weeks.

I just said I wasn't coming back and why.
I don't think you have to give a notice.
I knew I didn't want to stay with that therapist and that she wasn't going to help me.
I didn't want to prolong it.

You'd only need to give notice if you have made an appointment and paid for it. Tho I'm sure they'd appreciate it the sooner you let them know.
