If you go to therapy, do you do most of the talking?

Or does your therapist?

Or is it pretty equal?

I do most of the talking. I do have many issue s that are typically on my mind. It's just that even when I leave pauses in between certain issues, my therapist mainly nods. She does add 'some' useful tips towards the end, but I am doing like 30 mins. of the talking, and I really need more feedback. I do leave pauses sometimes, and she still mainly nods or agrees, but I guess I will have to ASK, 'What should I DO about this?' or 'What are some ways to CHANGE my thinking on this?' I thought they would volunteer that info, but most don't, and if they do it is just maybe one line. :(

It sounds like she's doing her job right, that's generally how we're trained to have therapy. Although, when you find that there's something missing in your sessions, it'll be good to voice it out with her so there's clarity and she can create adjustments to make it a better overall as well as more helpful experience
