Tangled Cables

You know that junk drawer that’s filled with tangled cables. Pulling a cable out of it feels like how going through therapy feels. Each cable representing a different issue, intertwined, and tangled up. If you pull on the end hoping to get it out fast it actually ties itself tighter to the others. You have to start on one end and slowly trace where it intersects with another and then untie it and move to the next one. Eventually you untangle it from the other cables / issues and you can use it to connect again

Very adept analogy. All you need are the concentration and patience to do the work.

Im beginning to understand that, I love how much is coming up, it’s like a part of me realized that it’s safe to deal with the stuff now so more and more is being revealed, clearly too. Before I guess I shut out one thing and kept doing that without realizing how much it was affecting me. I would like to have my sleep back though, I seem to have the most clarity at 3 In the morning

You sound like you’re really responding well. Therapy can be so intimidating but eventually so freeing.@Reflective

I’m excited to see how it will change my life. We figured out the major source of my pain pretty quickly and it seems like I can improve in that area with time and practice

@Reflective 👍 Anything is possible with time and practice. Enjoy the journey, it's a hell of a ride.
