Olympus TG-6 vs OM System (formerly Olympus) TG-7 rugged digital cameras - compared to say the Canon R100
My last digital camera is an Olympus D595 (so really old) that still works. My original camera is a Canon T-70 35mm (again which still works).
I have been looking at the Olympus TG series for some time, and was close to buying a TG-6 then I found Olympus was farming out the camera division into a new entity and the latest model (TG-7) has been released under the new 'OM System' banner.
Does anyone have experience with either model?
A lot of people who do specialised photography tend to like the TG-series for most of it's features but not for the small sensor and how they lack a manual mode. My Canon T-70 was famous for it's totally manual control.
The Canon R100 gets suggested a lot as a better camera than the TG series.
