Do USB ports work for you, consistently?

I find, sometimes I need to plug it in to another port, or unplug it and plug it back.
Super grateful for any feedback on this.

Maybe you have two different kinds of ports? If you look closely inside the ports, do you see a blue, white, red, orange, or yellow color in some of them, not all of them?

@Nightwings Thanks. Yeah half my ports have a blue "tongue" but this happens between ports of the same colour.

@Matt85 Right so you might find that some things need the blue ports, and other things need the black ports. Here's a list of what the different colors mean:

White = 1.x
Black = 2.0
Blue = 3.0
Red = 3.1 & 3.2
Yellow = 2.0 & 3.0
Orange = 3.0

If it happens between the same colors, perhaps some of the ports are a bit broken? Physically I mean.

Hopefully they're not broken, my comp was new in 2022.

@Matt85 I hope not. It could definitely be something else causing the problem, but I'm afraid it's beyond my knowledge to help you troubleshoot. You might call a tech guy, or ask on r/TechSupport (they will likely ask you to provide them with a bunch of information if you do).
