Help me decide new phone plan

A. Boost offers 25 dollars a month plan, and they do have actual physical stores too. They offer unlimited text/talk, and I need to call about data..but I"m sure it is reasonable .. per month.

B. Mint Mobile offers $15 a month plans (for first 3 months) then it goes to $25 a month, with 5 GB per month and unlimited talk/text. They do not have physical stores, so everything will be done online.

What do you think? Both sound very reasonable... I just need to buy a new phone too. Boost offers a couple phones under 100 bucks (in store), and I saw a Motorola that looked good. Any ideas welcome.

I've been with Mint for two years and couldn't be happier. The 5GB, which they boosted to 15GB after year one, is all I ever need... actually never used more than the 5GB. If you use your phone mostly where it's connected to WiFi, then 5GB does it nicely.

@Ontheroad Thank you! I guess there is a 3 month period when you join of just 15 a month, which is nice, Then I believe it goes to 25 dollars, which is good b/c I don't use more than 5 GB :) I do need a new phone too though; did you get your phone trhough them too?

@Coralmist no, I bought one on, as I remember it, Amazon. They do have phones, so that's an option. I didn't want a contract, so I bought mine outright.

@Ontheroad Have you found you have to pay for 3 months each bill? It seems they want 3 months up front (for first time subscribers) and the payment plans are for 3 months... ? Are there any increased fees over time?

@Coralmist yes, I knew that going in and went ahead and did the annual thing. Actually, that was another reason I went with them... I dislike the monthly payment thing.

To date, which is over two years, the price has stayed the same, but the data allowance has tripled for the same price.

@Ontheroad Ok cool. I can't seem to find a price for 2 lines. I will recheck... I think it could be 50 dollars, not sure. I know it showed one line on the main page (the prices for 3 months, for one line). I appreciate your tips and help !! 🫂
