That very question came up last week. I could upgrade my old laptop to a Dell or Lenovo. My crew concluded it was 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other

Every work laptop I’ve had since the pandemic was a Levono. The cheap and cheerful. Good but can’t take any more than 3 years of daily use.

@WintaTheAngle Can extend till 5-10 years if not used in a rough way?

Lenovo is the legitimate successor to IBM. We have several Lenovo's that are reliable. We even have an IBM that still works fine. The HP died several times.
Had some good office laptops back in the day good for spreadsheets and weather browsing.

Generally over priced potato's

Not bad I have purchased two. Best is Toshiba which lasted 10 years for me

We use their cheaper laptops for our printers. But they have to run a single program
