Yep. I was one of the few boys that took typing in high school, but I knew I wanted be a journalist/writer so figured I better. I got up to about 65 wpm on the manuals, and when the electric typewriters came in, more like 80 wpm., and with the PC closer to 100. Then along came the laptops and smartphones and the AI guessing at what I want to write whom I have to correct and everything has slowed down again. We are never satisfied until we've "improved" things into dysfunctional.
