Good one. I've always found disclaimers and terms of agreement to be predatory. I think there should be some laws around length and specificity so people really know what they're agreeing to.

@Ynotisay Wouldn't be bad im fact
Dshhh · M
i have seen astonishng things in those Permissions"
have you read the one for here?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Dshhh Uhhhh, well, ummm... of course I have! You didn't think I just blindly signed it, did you?
Dshhh · M
@LordShadowfire most dont
since you did,, Does SW OWN all our posts?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Dshhh I was kidding. I sort of clicked without reading, but I'm still going to say yes.
SW-User
Yesterday I paid a $82 fee for not reading “ terms and conditions “ section well 🙃, so yeah, agreed
Elessar · 26-30, M
@SW-User Really? ToS of what?
SW-User
@Elessar something Adobe
Classified · M
I think you are supposed not to read it. If a company writes a short and clear terms and conditions, I immediately like and trust them more. 😅
Classified · M
@Elessar What are those?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Classified Open source licenses. Very coincise
Classified · M
@Elessar Open source can be a lot more reliable, but even there I don't know what people are actually doing. 😅
Still I would choose it any day over those companies that use and sell your personal data.
SW-User
lol, they don't want you to read it. That's how they hide stuff from you
Elessar · 26-30, M
@SW-User I know, lol; but still, it has the potential of being one of those things you'd implement just to see the world burn
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
What I'd like to see happen is something like that South Park episode, "The Human CentiPad", where the company slips something absolutely horrible into the terms of service, just to teach people a lesson about clicking without reading.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@LordShadowfire A game corp once expressly put a clause that you could opt out from (and 85% of the customers didn't notice it) that expressly granted the company exclusive ownership rights on your immortal soul
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Elessar Epic!
Fishy · 36-40, F
I can't remember which software it was, but years ago when I installed something it said that I had to scroll down to the bottom of the agreement before it would let me continue 😂
Elessar · 26-30, M
@DeluxedEdition What if it pops up on the display of the grill? 😬
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Elessar lay on the ground and get in fetal position 😂
Elessar · 26-30, M
@DeluxedEdition The solution to every problem
