Pray that nobody ever implements this:

I can't remember which software it was, but years ago when I installed something it said that I had to scroll down to the bottom of the agreement before it would let me continue 馃槀

@DeluxedEdition What if it pops up on the display of the grill? 馃槵
DeluxedEdition22-25, F
@Elessar lay on the ground and get in fetal position 馃槀
Elessar26-30, M
@DeluxedEdition The solution to every problem

What I'd like to see happen is something like that South Park episode, "The Human CentiPad", where the company slips something absolutely horrible into the terms of service, just to teach people a lesson about clicking without reading.
Elessar26-30, M
@ShadowfireTheSarcastic A game corp once expressly put a clause that you could opt out from (and 85% of the customers didn't notice it) that expressly granted the company exclusive ownership rights on your immortal soul
ShadowfireTheSarcastic46-50, M
@Elessar Epic!
talktomenice26-30, F
Yesterday I paid a $82 fee for not reading 鈥 terms and conditions 鈥 section well 馃檭, so yeah, agreed
Elessar26-30, M
@talktomenice Really? ToS of what?
talktomenice26-30, F
@Elessar something Adobe
DshhhM
i have seen astonishng things in those Permissions"
have you read the one for here?
ShadowfireTheSarcastic46-50, M
@Dshhh Uhhhh, well, ummm... of course I have! You didn't think I just blindly signed it, did you?
DshhhM
@ShadowfireTheSarcastic most dont
since you did,, Does SW OWN all our posts?
ShadowfireTheSarcastic46-50, M
@Dshhh I was kidding. I sort of clicked without reading, but I'm still going to say yes.
ClassifiedM
I think you are supposed not to read it. If a company writes a short and clear terms and conditions, I immediately like and trust them more. 馃槄
ClassifiedM
@Elessar What are those?
Elessar26-30, M
@Classified Open source licenses. Very coincise
ClassifiedM
@Elessar Open source can be a lot more reliable, but even there I don't know what people are actually doing. 馃槄
Still I would choose it any day over those companies that use and sell your personal data.
YnotisayM
Good one. I've always found disclaimers and terms of agreement to be predatory. I think there should be some laws around length and specificity so people really know what they're agreeing to.
Elessar26-30, M
@Ynotisay Wouldn't be bad im fact
DavidScottM
lol, they don't want you to read it. That's how they hide stuff from you
Elessar26-30, M
@DavidScott I know, lol; but still, it has the potential of being one of those things you'd implement just to see the world burn
