Today is Suicide Awareness Day šŸ’š

There’s a quote that’s been sitting heavy with me today:
ā€œI’d rather sit with you through your hell than attend your funeral.ā€

As someone who has been in that dark place more than once, and who has survived attempts that I didn’t think I’d come back from—I want you to know that I see you, I understand that pain, and I know how unbearable it can feel.

It may not always get easier, but you truly don’t know what tomorrow might bring if you don’t give yourself the chance to see it. Even one more day can open the door to something you couldn’t imagine in your darkest moments.

If you’re struggling today, please remember you’re not alone—even when your mind tells you that you are. Reach out. Sit in the mess with someone who cares. I promise there are people (including me, in this space) who would rather hear your pain than hear your goodbye.

Here are some resources if you need them:

šŸ“ž 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline – call or text 988, available 24/7 in the U.S.
šŸ’¬ Crisis Text Line – Text HELLO to 741741 to connect with a trained counselor
🌐 NAMI Helpline – 1-800-950-NAMI (6264) for support and information
šŸ³ā€šŸŒˆ Trevor Project (LGBTQ+ support) – call 1-866-488-7386 or text START to 678678
šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Veterans Crisis Line – dial 988 then press 1, or text 838255

Please keep holding on, even if it’s just for today. And if today feels too heavy, lean on us. You don’t have to carry it alone.

šŸ’š With love, care, and understanding,

Thank you for posting this.
@Sojournersoul Of course, I use to do post like these all the time, but stepped back when things started to get dark, but even with my dark mind and thoughts today, that needed to be put aside, because everyone needs to know there is support, especailly today, when the world is so cruel to those who suffer with mental illness, everyone needs to know they matter, and their voice matters, and we all need to do a little better at supporting the people we love, and even the people we do not know who are struggling and feel alone. I'll always make the time to try and help someone.
