Unfortunately yes many years ago when i was a teenager, and so was she.
If i had known her intention in advance i would have talked her out of it , run through her options.
It shocked and upset me then ..as much as it still upsets me now. Its not an event which is easily forgotten.
I didn't witness it. We were told the following day at school 🥲 she wasnt a close friend, just someone who was sweet natured who somtimes past the time of day with.
If I know someone is sad enough to be thinking of suicide, i tell them this blip is temporary & soon enough it will be gone. I reach out to them more often in the hope that together we can move beyond this time.
