I think a lot of people connect threw the internet. I don't know how much better it is, but it has to be a lot better than just sitting alone. I struggle with suicide and suicidal thoughts if you ever want to talk about it with me you can.

I think people with suicidal ideation getting interconnected is a great idea. That could be a very good support group. I would join it.

@SomeMichGuy it all depends on the day for me. Somedays what should be a trigger isn't, other days are the opposite

@Justafantasy Well, I am no expert in this, so I would advise you
• keep a record & diary of the frequency of these feelings, and WHY--what specific things are bothering you?
• DO call a helpline when you feel that way.
• Get involved with volunteering--help a child learn how to read, help at a soup kitchen or pantry or homeless shelter, help an elderly neighbor, etc. By doing this, you can see how your life can have meaningful, positive impacts on others' lives.
• If you have any church ties, find a good, mainstream, local one, and attend. It can give you positive input and new friends / social opportunities.
• Take a class in something you've always wanted to learn, acquire a skill, learn a hobby, etc.
• See if there is a local group which does daytrips on the weekend.
All of these can help you feel more connected and that you are having a positive impact on others' lives!
