Are you a social butterfly or introverted with social phobia?
I'm the latter (introvert) and would prefer to stay home rather than go out to other places as much as possible. I don't do friends or have any sort of social/friend circle. I'm my own circle.
My last ex is total opposite. She is a social butterfly who cannot handle not having a continually full social calendar.
My socialising is mostly going to work (shift work job), and my volunteering with scouts and Landcare. My 8 up daughter does ask me why I don't have friends but she's not asked why I don't have a girlfriend.
