I hide behind my sunglasses 🕶️🙈

I'm so shy and socially anxious, it makes me feel more confident and secure when people are unable to see my eyes. One time when I was teenager, my mom totally called me out on it, lol. She'd get annoyed with me for wearing sunglasses indoors and asked why I always do so. I gave some bullshit excuse, but she hit the nail on the head when she told me she thinks I do so because I like to hide behind them, in a sense. I denied it at the time, of course, but she was totally right. I'm a bit braver about it now, but I do still feel more secure under the cover of my shades. At least I don't wear them indoors anymore, lol.
