I had a panic attack at work the other day

And my older coworker thought my blood sugars were dropping so she fed me a handful of her candy and a soda, hahaha. That made it worse

What the crap is your coworkers response like to emergency situations? 🤣

So why did you have a panic attack?

@MartinTheFirst I'm not sure why I had it 🫤

@MyNameIsHurl What do you recommend to do if I were to ever have one? 👀
MyNameIsHurl · 41-45, F
@MartinTheFirst deep breathing
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@MyNameIsHurl should I lift my arms in the air and scream "panic attack"...? 😰

@MyNameIsHurl It's been close! Gotta say. Whenever the barber turns the trimming machine on close to my ear my head starts to shake, but actually it's gotten better with time

@MartinTheFirst you think he's gonna Van Gogh ya?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@MyNameIsHurl Actually i have no idea why it makes me respond that way, it's the same if I get eye-contact with a stranger sometimes. I believe it's because I start thinking about what they think about me so I have to think about looking right and what do they think about me trying to think about them thinking about me trying to look right and should I -

I believe it's a feed-back loop of thoughts and the way I break myself out of it is that i start looking around the room or ask a question

@MartinTheFirst yep, it's a perceived threat and most of it is subconscious

@MyNameIsHurl youre an expert at this hu? 👀
MyNameIsHurl · 41-45, F
@MartinTheFirst it's my forever battle since childhood.

@MyNameIsHurl Struggling with panic attacks for so long and managing it is a respectable thing 🤗
