I Have Panic Attacks

I don't get them personally. But I know people that do.

Try this.

First, look around you.

Find 5 things you can see.

Then 4 things you can touch.

Then 3 things you can hear.

Then 2 things you can smell.

And finally 1 thing you can taste.


It calms you down. Grounds you.

Hatt, I believe that you might be on to something there.
Because I believe a lot of it comes from fear of the unknown. The way you put it here, it's kinda like getting in touch with yourself and knowing that you are just floating around in the world with no purpose or place to go for peace.

I've had panic attacks before and they're horrible.

@Kygirl they are not fun. My daughter gets them, but this helps her. I hope it helps others.

I sure know what you mean. My daughter keeps them. She's a mess all the time. She has migraines and fibromyalgia most on a constant basis. I feel so sorry for her.
She says that she feels like she's being beat with a baseball bat and stuck with a hot poker all the time.
Her migraines on top of that puts her under.
