I Suffer From Anxiety and Panic Attacks

I'm sure he just doesn't want to text during the movie.

I understand the whole not texting in the theater. But I'm the mom. I trump all. I don't care about anyone else and how upset they are. He's still a kid. Not an adult. I'm not freaking out over my grown sons silence. I'm worried about my teen son and his ability to drive safely and return home without incident when the movie is over. Am I overreacting? Possibly. Ok likely. But I can't help it. Kinda comes with the whole anxiety disorder and mom gig

You can send him a nice text and apologize for bothering him. Just asking him to take care or wait to drive in the heavy rain. He will see it. And know that you are a cute and wonderful mom for worrying about it so much.

I get it. You all are right. But this is my son. And I need the reassurance he's ok. He knows this. He always answers. It's not like my anxiety is new lol. I'm trying to focus elsewhere. It's a movie. His phone is likely off. I will wait.

I don't think you need to worry :) Naturally he wouldn't be answering his texts if he is watching a movie he is enjoying. I'm sure he is fine. Being a teenage boy I can say firsthand that we often don't answer texts from our parents right away.

Think about it from his point of view. how many people in the theatre would. be upset with him.

I have them too...FANTASIZE...about anything good...anything hopeful!

Let him have his moment. Think about.other things.
