How to battle insomnia and win???????

1. Have a healthy diet.
2. Maintain a routine, including physical and mental exertion to make you require sleep. Develop a sleep pattern. Try not to take naps in day time.
3. Take a shower or at least wash your foot before going to bed.
4. Take your dinner two hours before your time of sleep.
5. Dim the lights in your room & do not listen to loud music, stop using phone, laptop & TV one hour before bed time.
6. Make a habit of maintaining diary and write all things you need to do tomorrow before going to bed. Take herbs for stress relief like ashwagandha if you have much stress.
7. Avoid caffeinated drinks, alcohol and cigarettes before bed. You can try warm Milk or Chamomile Tea before bedtime.
8. Ensure your bed is comfortable for you to sleep.
9. Take medical advice if you have any specific problem like pain, loud snoring, etc.
10. Keep trying to maintain and improve the routine, as it may take few days/weeks for your body to get comfortable with new schedule.

@ABCDEF7 Adding 11. Enable eye protection on all screens to protect from blue violet light which makes us energized.

@Queendragonfly Yes, that's why I recommended to not use any screen before an hour of sleep in point 5.

@ABCDEF7 Yes but one hour before sleep and using blue violet light is not enough, OP should have eye screen protection on the whole day. And dark mode as soon as it's noon.
Stay awake all night and all day and go to bed at bedtime.

Force yourself up early even if you didn't sleep long the night before. Keep yourself awake til it's bedtime
