There's a dog that's old and just about blind that sleeps in my kitchen. Sometimes she gets agitated for no apparent reason, so a few months ago I started leaving the TV on for her. Now she seems to sleep better and is a lot less likely to wake me up at 3am. Sometimes I fall asleep here at my desk, but my bedroom is at the far corner of the house and far away from the TV.
