I Can't Sleep When I Have Too Much On My Mind

I haven't slept properly in days, in lockdown with a family member in the next room who is awake almost 24/7 (video games, films etc) and I start my online exams in less than two weeks, they are pretty rude when I try to talk to them about it 👍️

I know the lockdown is important and people are experiencing worse, I am by no means trying to belittle anyone else's issues, I just needed a space to vent :(

People are experiencing worse, but that doesn’t negate your own challenges. Sleep is extremely important to your immune system. Stress lowers our immunity, so this is no trivial matter.
Your relative is not a considerate person, and that is another stress for you to be with someone who gives no thought to your wellbeing. Do you have a garden where you could study? Do you have ear plugs, and can play a soothing sound off a phone app, to help you sleep? I’m sorry.

@Carissimi The weather hasn't been the best for studying, but if it's really bad I use the kitchen and put earphones in with instrumental music. :) It's mostly the sleep issues and lack of energy that's getting to me. I try music, podcasts for sleep etc which sometimes works but not always

It seems you are doing the best you can, and the best we can do is not always the best for our health, but it’s all we can do. Just know that almost everyone is stressed to one extent or another. I’m stressed too, and having a tooth abscess does not help, especially as I’ve been waiting a month already for the dentist to open again. @MissMoon

@Carissimi Yes :) I am Scottish, but my mother's side of the family is from the US, I find Americans to be friendly too!
