Ouch!! Tooth splinter!!

About 3 weeks ago, i felt 'something' was embedded in the roof of my mouth. It didnt really hurt, I was just aware it was there. I assumed it was a bit of a crisps or something and it would work its way out. After a few days, it began to sting and i gave it a scrub with my toothbrush but it wouldn't budge. I tried a few more times over the following few days but it wouldn't move. A few days ago, it began to feel very sharp and uncomfortable....it somehow felt bigger and more prominent. Anyway, last night, i got my toothbrush on it again, and it began to bleed, then i was able to remove it with my nail!

Here it is!!! It looks like a chip of tooth? Its a bit bigger than a pin head....with a hooked bit! No wonder it was so uncomfortable!! I'm wondering if its somehow left over from when I had a tooth removed a couple of months ago and its just worked its way to the surface??
So glad its out!!

My late father had a tooth taken out , 4 or 5 weeks later his face swelled alarmingly and he went to A&E. The so called dentist had left best part of the root in ,turned out he wasn't qualified and had a micky mouse diploma and papers saying he was a Dentist. So Ruby please take care

@GovanDUNNY gosh, thats shocking!
I was going to call the denist if it hadn't gone in a week or two....but it would probably cost me hundreds for it to be removed, so im pleased I managed to dislodge it myself!

@RubySoo if they left that in you shouldn't have to pay Ruby 🫶🏻

@GovanDUNNY but it was in the roof of my mouth, not the site of the extraction.
