I can't wait for menopause at this point.

I woke up in crazy pain because my period started yesterday evening. I woke up took midol and tried going back to sleep but it didn't happen. It took nearly 3 hours for those pills to kick in. I was so uncomfortable I wanted to rip my skin off I wanted to throw up too. Once they finally kicked in i was able to get out of bed and be productive. Unfortunately 5 hours later the meds wore off and I was back to intense pain again. Felt like throwing up, was extremely uncomfortable again and took another round. Took over 3 hours for the pills to kick in and i was stuck on the couch laying with a blanket over me. Im comfortable now but am worried it will wear off and the pain will return.

At this rate give me menopause I dread this time of month because it just gets worse.

Here's hoping menopause will be a cake walk and nice and easy for you compared to this.

@blackdiamonds Mine started when I was 45, period stopped and the menpause symptoms were so mild. I'm 50 now, they're still mild. That's what I am hoping for you.

@minxy Menopause is when the body will give you real problems. Increased risk of stroke, heart attack, bone loss, and dementia, due to an oestrogen-deficiency state. There's oestrogen receptor cells in EVERY part of the female body, and without oestrogen, the body cannot function normally. That's why problems can arise not just in the female areas of the body but in the eyes, heart, brain, bones etc. It's the same if someone is insulin deficient or thyroid hormone deficient. The body will have a host of health issues. HRT can reduce symptoms to some degree, and also protect against dementia, bone loss etc, the main diseases of menopause, if taken when under sixty years old. There is a slight increase in breast cancer risk, but it is outweighed by the benefits of taking HRT if under sixty. Be careful about having no symptoms in menopause and not taking HRT, because if no symptoms, because you still will be at risk of the three diseases of menopause, which I've mentioned. Please watch Menopause Taylor on YouTube. She's an expert gynaecologist and has hundreds of videos on menopause and how to manage it for the individual woman as not all women can take HRT for various reasons. Menopause is for the rest of your life. In olden days, women didn't survive to menopause, so it wasn't an issue, as you were supposed to be dead as have no eggs left.

I'm sorry your suffering like this. I wish I could say something more comforting
