Any ways of managing hip arthritis pain?

My Oma has been having really bad hip arthritis pain for about a month. She’s tried pain meds and steroid injections but nothing last long term. We’re still trying to get her onto a waiting list for a double hip replacement. Any suggestions to help manage the pain until then would be helpful.

Heat, massage, gentle motion in the pool and keeping as active as possible. Sitting too long makes us all stiff. I hope she gets her replacement asap. A friend had both done and was so glad he did. When she does get it replaced, do the PT right away! He said it made a world of difference 😁

I used to have a lot of hip, knee and foot pain.
I started a regimen of strength and mobility training and all that went away.
