A lot of times I just let people think they’ve gotten one over on me because I know they’ll continue lying.

It still hurts sometimes, but it’s never surprise.
@AlchemyFox I also like to watch what they do next, how they play their game.

@AlchemyFox hurting is just because we thought it through and deep down within a side corner of our heart hope to be wrong.

Sadly we reject our own hope while it starts brewing as our brain reminds us not to go on the path that creates pain later.

Knowing me i create a way to hurt myself with my own emotion so that i am immune the any other feeling that would drill some holes.

But the pleasure of watching everything unfold in reality as you imagined in your mind is truly mesmerising

@nonsensiclesnail well you would have already sketched the broad boundaries and waiting for them to fill in the colours slowly, wondering which shades they will chose, the saint or the blood. Would they be going to stab in back or slit the throat. Anyways you know your trust will die but the unknowingness of how makes it worth looking for
@Mystical you are very right! But it's for other reasons too. It tells me how things will go with them, helps me to see why they are lying to me, what sort of stage they are trying to set. Eventually I get tired of them and tell them to fuck themselves. Liars are boring.

@nonsensiclesnail every aspect of truth and lie is actually boring to me. Please dont get me wrong but to find a truth or lie is the same thing. They are both sides of same coin, called judging.

I know we make so many decisions by judging things and situations and events and almost everything but i find that a waste of energy.

You are not in control of any of it, so why to spend so much of effort in identifying the aspects that barely define a self evolving system.

We all dig our own grave one way or another.
A deliberate lie and the interpretation of your own reality are very similar. But they both tell a story that the tellers wants listener to believe and connect with in some way. But you yourself have to start questioning the motives, the goals of the teller and in what way that will, or won’t, impact you.
When someone creates a whole new reality, plays roles as other people, they usually drag the important bits ( important to them) with them. You can learn what really matters to a liar without them ever knowingly telling you.
Not all liars lie to be misleading, or to be cruel, or even to trick the others they are telling. Their lies are often about self importance, confidence and their fears. Unless they are looking to con you for their own self gain and that’s a whole different sort of bag to unpack.
I enjoy liars for a time, for a lot of the reasons I’ve just stayed. They tell you their secrets.
