I’m so sick of my pain and my meds and my docs…

The next time I get asked (by medical professionals) about my pain on a 1-10 scale, I’m just going to have to channel my best Spinal Tap impression and say:
These go to eleven!!

Sometimes it’s just so f@cked it’s just easier to laugh than cry. Another disappointing day.

@SW-User That’s very fortunate and not easy I’m sure. As far as I go that’s not exactly my strong suit but I need to give it a better effort atm.

I’m not sure if it’s diligence with me or just plain stubbornness . I hope you can find your mojo again 🤗@2cool4school

I am glad you can find some solace in humour and how cool would it be, if the doctor got the reference 🤘

@Reaverwolf the one that really tries my patience won’t get it even if I explained it in depth. He’s just not checked into reality. So frustrating 😣

@2cool4school have you considered bringing him a miniature of stonehenge? 🤗
Wow...I'm so sorry.
Pain is devastating...esp. over time.
@2cool4school
Wow...that's pretty awful.

You miss out on holidays with the family bc you cannot travel...? The pain of any jostling at all?

FAILED fusion?! What the...
L-5 longitudinal fracture?!

Wow...you have a very tough time. 😧😥😭

@SomeMichGuy I’ve missed out on holidays when I’m in the same house and just can’t eat or even sit stand etc because of my pain. Bed bound.
I cracked the most dense bone in the body. The 5th Lumbar vertebrae 4 times. And burst the disc below it so they took out the connective tissue and used titanium to attach it to my sacrum. And I was supposed to wait 2 full years before I could even start physical therapy. I was able to get a bone growth stimulator and I cut my estimated recovery in half. I was able to get my fusion solid but my pain was so bad I wasn’t able to get very far into my physical therapy. It took 7 years but I eventually got my life back in small increments and I moved back up to the mountains because I was able to get back to my passions. I know I wasn’t trying to overdo it but I was a little starved for the kind of stuff that I find fun. I enjoy scaring myself daily lol. I’m just not sure how I did it but my pain is now back to the levels it was before my false recovery so I’m just back to not being able to get sleep and not feeling hungry as well as not being able to get comfortable and having to stay in bed or on my back to keep my pain at its lowest. I’m told that I have psoriatic arthritis but it’s not been confirmed yet.
@2cool4school This is an amazing journey...sheesh.
I wish things get better for you and you could snow board again.🤗🙂
