really missing my memaw something awful lately. ❤‍🩹

she was truly the glue that held our family together, and honestly, it just hasn’t been the same since she passed in 2015.

my dad wasn’t always the best person or the best dad to me, but that lady (his mom) always showed up for me and never left my side. she helped my mom in so many ways and loved us girls so deeply. she was an amazing memaw not only to me, but to my older sister too, even though she wasn’t her granddaughter biologically. she loved her like she was, and i’ll always be so honored to have been able to call her my memaw.

11 years later, i still miss her more than words could ever explain. heaven truly gained an amazing angel when we lost her. ❤‍🩹👼🏻

i’d give anything for just one more hug, one more conversation, one more day with her. 🥺💕

Grandmothers had a way of keeping the family connected, birthdays and holidays! I carry your sadness as well!🙏🌹

@Quimliqer so true. i have only seen/spoken to my papaw (her husband) a handful of times since her passing😭 he does live in florida (they moved to florida a year before she passed) but i feel like if my memaw were still here she wouldn’t have let him drift from us like this😭

@robbie2499 thank you. people said “it’ll get better” but it hasn’t, at alll. she was my rock. & i’m so thankful for her. my moms parents passed when i was 6, & she definitely stepped up and was an incredible grandma to me especially after they passed
