I work with recovering addicts everyday. their stories are too much to hear or bear because 9/10 theyre greiving. hard. painfully they're either lost someone or in the proceas of losijg aomeone and can't be with them because they're in detox.

Haven't "lost" my wife in one sense, but she's in memory-care and no longer even really recognizes me. It's only be three or four months now that she hasn't been here at home in the house we shared for over 40 years, and every day I find myself calling her name and wishing she'd come home, but I know she never will, that there is nothing can be done for her dementia and it will just get worse, but my heart still calls out and hopes for a miracle.
