Grief, what i know....
“Grief”
Grief follows you like a ghost. Never revealing itself until you thought you were past it. Grief never heals. In many shapes and forms grief is always there. Staring at the stars “oh they would’ve loved this” grief looks you in the eyes and tests you every time. Tests if you can make it without them. Tests how long you’ll wait for them to come back. Grief feels like a joke until it’s you grieving a loss. 5 stages of grief every one worse than the last. Except for the first denial. Thinking it’s all an elaborate rouse. None of it actually happened. Tricking yourself into believing they’re coming back. Telling yourself they’re just on vacation. Just so you don’t have to deal with the haunting of them being gone. Until you finally accept it. But they’re never truly gone. Every little thing reminds you of them. Every song on the radio has you thinking of them sitting in that passenger seat screaming their heart out to the song. Every new movie that comes out reminds you that they would’ve loved it. Grief never truly heals.
