I was alright for awhile, I could smile for awhile...

It was a very untypical warm day here in Michigan.
I got out and stopped at Sam's club to get my prescription did a little shopping.
I don't buy bulk items much, it only being me, but I like buying shampoo and paper products that way so I do not have to keep running to the store.
Anyway, as I was walking out a spotted a man who sat just like Paul use to sit and wearing the same coat I have sitting in my closet upstairs, because I cannot part with it yet.
The tears came, but I took a deep breath and I didn't break down in Sam's club.
A reminder that mourning takes a long long time

An unmourned death was one not worth living.

Sorry for your pain

Happy for your smiles.

I sympathize with you, I have been at this widowed life for almost 10 years now. I'm sure it's of no immediate help to you, but it does get easier to deal with. Tears are good, and I still get them, usually set off by a photograph, a tune, or a memory. I do have an advantage though, my step children suffered the loss with me, and still do. I would have struggled much more without them.

I buy at Sam's Club just like you. Paper products and cleaning supplies are so much cheaper there.

May God watch over and bless you 🙏🙏🙏
