I lost you 2 years ago today

It's an hour and a half past midnight and the calendar hits another day. This day however will be full melancholy. I miss you in my life.
It feels like yesterday we were together and yet too many years ago as well. I remember walking the canal path and holding hands. We looked with amazement at the huge freight locomotives sitting in the train yard as we walked to the car. We drove the dirt road across the tracks and discovered the towns river beach and camp ground we didn't know existed. We did so much exploring our surrounding area together and you enjoyed the sights and scenery of every trip. We both enjoyed life as we never had before we met. 11 years together we were gifted and the realization there is such a thing as soul mates.

Never forgotten.
Life without you is no life at all.

@Llholly Thank you. The truth is we were lucky to have each other. We had the book ends relationship so few ever find. It was a miracle with all the number of users on EP, blowing away SW, that our paths crossed at all.

@Llholly We both were. I won't get into all of it because tears as it is now.
I couldn't attend because I couldn't travel the 900 miles but in her eulogy her daughter told everyone living with me were the happiest and most saving grace in her entire life. She brought happiness into my life I never knew before. My grief will never end. While I love letting people know about us that didn't know her there are those here from EP who did I still can't do it without tearing up.
Some here only know me as right political prick. But they don't know the real me because they don't read profiles. I hate politics but Vickie and I both flipped out when brain dead Biden was elected. First time in our lives we became politically active.
If you’re against the Republicans so be it. My life with Vickie is far more important.
