Why do customer expect us to remember them?

Like I see 100’s of different faces every week. Why would I remember yours?

Personal story, one time when I was on acid, I realize I don’t look at peoples faces. I was looking at my grandma when I realized I never really “looked” at her before. Only in that moment, her face made sense to me.

I know I have facial blindness, but in general, I think it’s pretty narcissistic to expect me to remember you. You’re not the main character in my life.

I do remember some people- if they have a distinct personality or I like them.

😳 you don't remember me?

You said I was the only male you've seen shopping here lol and asked me why I was buying some girl stuff that clearly couldn't fit me lol

You're projecting
What am I projecting? I’m ranting about the annoying things customer ask of me. “Do you remember me” no, why would I? @mainvane

You don't even need face blindness. Some dude who's been in your life for 5 minutes in the role of customer or potential customer just isn't that memorable. I get that all the time in the rental business.

Pro tip: If you talked to me five years ago about possibly renting one of our houses, and you didn't end up renting, I've forgotten you exist.
