Bullying, what advice did your parents give?

Mine told me to ignore it. Yeah, cause they just get worser by using their fists and kicks.

If i were telling my 10 year old self, I'd give him a baseball bat and tell him to take a good clean swing.

I never had to deal with it since I was one of the toughest kids in school. My son did have a problem with one kid. When the bully was pestering him one day on their bikes, I gave my son a piece of rope and told him to throw it at the bully's bike spokes. He did, and the bike came to an abrupt stop, sending the bully over the handlebars to the pavement. Blood and tears resulted, but he never bothered my son again.
