Those with lots of freckles, was it difficult as a kid dealing with the teasing and bullying?

My face is completely covered in freckles and I was always tormented about it as a kid. Still self conscious about mine and wondering if others have similar experience

My mother has freckles. When I was a kid I wanted them because she had them, but she told me she and one of her brothers who also had them were teased all the time.
