I was the target of bullies from 1st grade thru 11th. Somehow I escaped being bullied that last year of HS fortunately...
It did mark me for life, and may be one of the sources of my CPTSD. One of my doctors said it was the reason I developed agoraphobia later in life. I didn't drive for 10 years (from age 36 to 46) and wouldn't venture outside the house without a 'safe' person to accompany me. I was so convinced that everywhere I went, there would be another attack.
The road to recovery has been long and hard.
