I was a bully [I Was Bullied]

I was a bully at school and bullied one person for a couple of years. Apparently I made his life a nightmare he told a girl I was dating (they were both in the year below me.) I came home from university at Christmas last year and saw him, he’d started going to the gym, he literally picked me up and threw me in a huge pile of mud. All his friends cheered and clapped as I got up, covered, with my outfit totally ruined. I can’t stand those people, they made me feel so stupid. I cried for days afterwards, I was so upset. Do you think he was right?
Everyone thinks I deserved it and that he’s so great as he didn’t hit me, but no one thinks about how horrid the experience was for me.

Were you bullied at home? or why would you hurt someone for 2 years?
Strongtea · 22-25, M
No I wasn’t bullied at home, I’m not truly sure why I did it, It was incredibly important for me to be popular and this did have that effect until he stood up to me. I am very sorry for what I did, I wish I could turn back time so that he didn’t do that to me. @Carazaa

Are you only sorry that he hurt you? Are you realizing how you hurt him and embarrassed him for two years which is much more hurtful than getting physically hurt one time?

I do realise that now, it did take a long time to think about him as at first it was just what he did to me that I was concerned with. @Carazaa

@Strongtea Well that's good, because how kind we are is what matters in life.

@Strongtea I would apologize to him in person and in a letter if I were you.

I have recently sent him a message on Facebook apologising but haven’t heard back. I’m very scared to see him in person. @Carazaa
