Is it true in parts of the united states if you go to a doctor and you have anxiety, they will prescribe marijuana?

Here in Ireland if go to a doctor and have bad anxiety it's medication like a benzodiazepine type is given if the person needs it. Sometimes an SSRI combined with it. But I've been told in parts of the states like California, a doctor will actually prescribe Marijuana? a moderated dosage.

In other parts of America some health systems wont let their physicians prescribe benzos for anxiety if the patient pisses hot so they get less effective meds. A lot of psychiatrists are against marijuana.
