It helps to normalise it rather than to think of it as a setback. Anxiety can come even after a long while without it, but it doesn't mean that it will be there to stay. Think of it like a living and breathing entity that is always looking for a way in. The more attention that you give it, the more it gets a hold on you. If you accept it when it comes and don't give it more importance than it deserves then it can't take over you. That's not to say that you can ignore it when it comes, but just accept it and know that it will pass.
