I have anxiety - new job - UPDATE
So the place that offered me the job finally got its act together, and did what was necessary to go one step further. I have an appointment to get my fingerprints taken - next Tuesday.
In the meantime, I have applied for about six other jobs.
I recently spoke to a woman who once worked for the company that offered me the job. (All the people in my occupation in my locality know each other.) She said the same thing happened to her. They finally got her onboard, but it was awkward and disorganized and inefficient.
The company in question is a major bank - which handles huge sums of other people’s money. This is not reassuring.
I had fewer hassles getting cleared by the Federal government to work on an Army base.
