You probably did much better than you give yourself credit for.
It probably went okay. I think people get anxious about things like this because their ego-identities, which they take as their lives, are on the line. If you were to get rejected by a prospective employer, it feels as though YOU are getting rejected, not your employment. But it's just a job, not YOU.
