My worst feeling is waking up in the morning knowing that my partner might not wake up with me.
I don't think the worst feelings are self-centred. I think the most grievous feelings are the ones where we can only demonise ourselves, and can't begin to find forgiveness, or even the use for it.
All our tomorrows might be gone without a sound. And there goes the track I was trying to build. There goes my ship to its wreck.
I don't know if I'll have the will to continue after that day. I want to think I would, but it's a Catch 22.
Is it more selfish to continue living, even if I never want to love again?
Or is it better to try and pursue what might not even be pursuable?
I'm leaning toward leaving with her. Because I would never let her leave alone, let alone leave the airport alone. I'm hers, plain and simple.
