The diagnosis is in: I don't have social anxiety...
I know I might be going back and forth on this a little bit, but I don't think just because I find certain social situations uncomfortable, I guess you can say, that means I have social anxiety. I think most people, probably everyone, is uncomfortable in certain social situations that they weren't expecting. I'm just more open and honest, more than most, about my discomfort. And the thing is, I successfully navigate each of those isolated incidents.
I guess where I am going with this is I don't have social anxiety, but I need to strengthen my social skills. I mean, maybe I don't have social skills when I am in certain social situations. But I know what to do to compensate for that lack of skills while I build up the skills I need.
So, I guess that's the conclusion and there is no point for people to continue to insinuate I have social anxiety or claim I am in denial about having social anxiety, or that I am confused about what social anxiety is. I know what social anxiety is and it's pretty clear from evidence that I don't have it.
