I mean, there's so many opportunities right now. I just made $100 today from an hour long meeting testing an app.

@Teirdalin wtf? Where do you live? I've been applying for everything for about three weeks and nothing.

@DearAmbellina2113 Oregon. Right now the money is all in AI training. I actually have a rambling 3am post I made earlier about Babel. What I did today though was testing out oto.earth's new app and the Japanese dev is so nice. App.Oto.Earth is like $24~$30 an hour and for people without a camera or a very good mic, yap-room is $10 an hour.

Right now they're not doing pictionary and charades; but still easy money if you got a PC with a good mic and camera.
Edit:
Actually app.oto.earth seems to be moving onto video/audio training and is doing $30-$50 now, earlier it was audio only at $24.

It's hard especially when you get older. I'm of the age where I'm closer to 65, who is going to hire me?

@swirlie Exactly. Like I said, I would probably get a low stress, lower paying job close to home, maybe part time or do some charity work.
Doing nothing and letting myself out to pasture is not something I want to do.
I also feel if you have unlimited spare leisure time, it loses it's value.

@JimboSaturn
...and besides, I think the neighbors would think you look odd walking around in an open field with a horse blanket wrapped around your shoulders.

Don't you wish we could retire, and never have to worry about crap like that again.
swirlie · 31-35, F
If you immigrate to China, that's where you'll find all the old American jobs.

I wish I could say it was going to get better.. But Sorry.. I cant..For the next year or two its going to be genuinely hard..And thats me being optimistic..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@swirlie For both. Unless you have one of the Golden Parachute indexed for life pensions..Jobs are going to be harder to find and keep. And inflation is going to know the socks off the value of peoples retirement accounts..😷

Okay... and the bad news is what?

@swirlie The bad news is that those who are least able to protect themselves will suffer the most.In the end, the bills will have to be paid. Since the alternative is a shooting war..In recent times that has meant that what the bottom half of the economy couldnt pay, the government just sold more debt. But those days are coming to a close soon. 😷
