The Scariest Place to Be is Where God is Not
A lot of people are so scared these days, of just about everything. We live in a troubled world that can be very scary at times. I've gone through just about every situation/trial, I can think, but God’s been faithful to me. So now I want to turn around and share with you how faithful God is, though we may not be at times. A plain, hopeful message, full of God's truths from His Word.
The world might tell you the scariest place is the hospital room.
Or a empty house.
Or that dreaded phone call with bad news.
Or the night you can’t sleep for various reasons, including that of fear.
Yet in truth, the scariest place to be, is anywhere God is Not.
Think about that for a minute. Without God being the Light and spiritual Guide in our world, we walk in darkness, without guidance and tempted by evil influences. Namely, Satan and his demons. But child of god, don't let that scare you, because:
“Greater is He [the Holy Spirit] that is IN you, than he [Satan] that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
Ephesians 1:13-14: Explains that believers are sealed with the promised indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the very second they hear and believe the gospel of Christ, repent, and are forgiven by God.
If you are a child of God demons cannot possess you. What they can do is influence you and try to tempt you to leave God and walk in the spiritual darkness of this world.
Here’s the good news: For the child of God, that place does not exist.
You may feel alone. But you are not.
You may feel forgotten. But you are seen.
You may be in a hard season. But God is in it with you.
He goes before you. He walks beside you. He carries you when you can’t walk.
So don’t be afraid.
Be still. Be calm. Be hopeful.
Because where God is, there is peace.
Where God is, there is provision.
Where God is, there is Hope
"I will never leave you nor forsake you." — Hebrews.
You may rest assured in that today. God never breaks a promise.
Scripture to Help You Along
Psalm 139:7
"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?"
Psalm 23:4
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
This reminds us that God is with us in our darkest days. He cares and loves you so much. This reminds me for myself, that God is the reason I do not fear death. God will be with me and give me a smooth transport, when I walk through that door to Eternity.
I fear nothing, with God by my side, and the angels will be there to escort me home, too. Just like He will for anyone of us who wish to invite him into our hearts and lives as our Savior. He will never turn you away. That's a promise from God.[/c]
Deuteronomy 31:8
"And the Lord, He it is, that doth go BEFORE thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."
That’s our God going before us in order to protect us. And I don't like saying this, but I feel led to say it out of love for you and concern. Some people say 'well He never helped me.' Friend, does He know you? That's the difference.
Sometimes God doesn't always answer our prayers with a yes. Sometimes His 'no', means He is protecting us from something or someone....not trying to hurt us. He is ever faithful. He has saved my life a few times in the 53 years I've known Him and walked with Him by the Holy Spirit, that God places in all believers, the second they invite Jesus into the hearts and lives as their personal Savior.
• 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: States that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, and that you were bought with a price (the blood of Christ that was shed to pay for our sins.)
• Romans 8:9: Declares that if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Him. And if you don't belong to him how can he help you? Many reject, curse, and blaspheme of God. They want nothing to do with him so he gives them the desire of their hearts.
Jesus always wants to help us, but sometimes we block the blessings He wants to give us, by rejecting Him... wanting nothing to do with Him. He's not going to barge into hearts and lives, if he's not wanted there.
Prayer is the key to heaven, but Faith unlocks the door. That door is none other but Jesus Christ, who knocks on our heart's door to save our souls; not condemn them. He came to save....not to condemn. John 3:16 and 17.
Romans 8:31
"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
Isaiah 41:10
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
