It's the way a man's brain works when he cares
He can't just sit there and hear about a problem and not have the impulse to fix it if he cares

Socially conditioned to be problem solvers.

I think that by nature they are protectors and we are nurturers. So they feel the need to problem solve. Its a give and take.

This is why I don't tell men my issues. Most people think sharing means you want advice. My ex would give three possible solutions and start making phone calls when I just wanted to someone to listen. Hated it.
Because, to him, he's helping you. He doesn't understand that you just want a pat on the back and a "That sucks".
He's just solving your problem for you.

Cause y'all will complain about the same problem for years on end.

We really want to solve problems and take action because we want to feel like we're helping. Most of us are taught at a young age to not feel our feelings and to just do things so as a conditioned response we sometimes forget that simply listening and saying "damn that sucks" is all someone might need in that moment.
Because society norms have subconsciously convinced men, that if they're not actively trying to solve a problem, then they're worthless...
So they're trying to prove they're worth something to themselves... and help others out at the same time.

In many cultures, men and boys are raised to be "problem-solvers". Simply talking about problems without action is viewed as "whining".

You are assuming we are listening.
