I had a confrontation with a parking security guard who decided to attack me for no reason

I drove to work today, and I parked in the parking garage and started walking away and a security person called me back to my car and told me I was illegally parked. I had no idea what he was talking about and no idea what to say. He had a big pad and started writing something down as he was yelling at me for parking illegally. It felt like the world was closing in on me because this has never happened before, I did nothing wrong, and he kept writing and yelling. I finally was able to ask him if I should move the car and in an overly dramatic and sarcastic way he said with a questioning tone, making "yes" into 2 syllables... "Y-es...?" So, I restarted my car and moved it to another space on another level.

I don't know what he was writing; at first, I thought maybe a ticket of some kind. It seemed like he had a personal problem with me just like the people on the bus I take seem livid when the bus has to stop to pick me up and then drop me off at my designated stops. Commuting is hell.

You did the right thing. When dealing with jerks don't stoop to their level.

@MoveAlong Yeah, I guess you're right. But, I kind of wish I had confronted him. I still don't know why he considered the space I was in "illegal." There were no cross-out lines or signs saying it was.
