Am I overreacting or is this a dealbreaker?
I'm in college and I share a dorm room with @ostfuidctyvm I knew he masturbated in the room sometimes - not ideal, but with limited space and privacy I kind of accepted it and tried to ïgnore it.
A few days ago I went back to the dorm to grab my water bottle and walked in right after he finished. What shocked me wasn't the fact he was doing it, but that I literally saw him take the fluid from his crotch area and suck it into his mouth. I was so disgusted I almost threw up on the spot. My brain just short-circuited and I blurted out something like "Oh, are you sick or taking medicine?" then grabbed my bottle and left. I have no idea what he thought of that reaction.
Ever since then I can't unsee it. I feel extremely uncomfortable being in the same room. I know everyone has their own kinks and what he does with his own body is echnically his business, but doing that in a shared dorm space, in full view, just feels like a huge boundary violation to me.
Has anyone dealt with a roommate who had really extreme or unhygienic sexual habits? Did you set boundaries and stay, or did you end up moving out? Am I overreacting, or is it reasonable to say I don't want to live with someone who does that where I sleep and keep my stuff?
