When i was younger i read a lot of novels. So i had a huge collection. When i moved out of my parental home and began adulting at 18 i sold them all to a bookstore. And opened a checking account.

Yeah I've had things that remind me of certain people before and sometimes it is hard to let go but sometimes it becomes a question of Mental Health. I too had to not only take a cat to the vet to have a euthanized I had to almost put one down myself but at the last minute I couldn't do it poor little booger he broke my heart but thank God my friend was with me Leon County Sheriff Deputy at the time he told me to walk away and I did and he took care of that talk about a real hard day

They're not connected.
Getting rid of your stuff, won't relieve any pain for your stuff.
You didn't get rid of your friend, you mercifully did what most people couldn't, and avoided the vet bleeding you dry.
There's nothing wrong with having a couple boxes of junk, it reminds us of where we came from. Maybe one day, you'll feel like opening it, looking through it. Maybe just not right now.

Have you thought about donating it to a Sr retirement home. It must get hot and use for years to come.

We all collect thing we later have an attachment to them and not know why

Letting go is something I been practicing for many yrs. bc sooner or later, we all run into losses. If u prepare now, it hurts less later.
